In week three high school football action last night, Moeller rolled over East Central 42-13…Batesville knocked off South Dearborn 26-21…Connersville rolled over Greensburg 47-7…Rushville got past Franklin County 30-27…It was Lawrenceburg 41 Milan 7…North Decatur clobbered Monroe Central 42-6…and South Decatur blanked Edinburgh 42-0.

Batesville takes on Union County in girls’ soccer today. Coverage begins at 11:30 this morning on 103.9 FM and the WRBI app.

Mark Vientos’ 2-run homer in the bottom of the 10th off Justin Wilson lifted the Mets over the Reds 6-4 last night in New York. Vientos hit a pair of  two-run homers in the game for the Mets, who have won eight in a row. Elly De La Cruz and TJ Friedl homered for the Reds. Game two of the series is this afternoon. The Indiana Fever lost a home to the Minnesota Lynx 99-88. Caitlin Clark scored 25 points to lead the Fever. Kelsey Mitchell added 23 and Aliyah Boston poured in 20. The Fever will be back in action tomorrow at home against the Atlanta Dream.

On today’s college football schedule, Indiana is home against Western Illinois…Notre Dame welcomes in Northern Illinois…UC entertains Pitt…Ball State takes on Missouri State in Muncie…Indiana State travels to Eastern Illinois…and Butler is at Murray State.

The Bengals and Colts open the 2024 NFL regular season tomorrow. Cincinnati entertains the New England Patriots while Indianapolis welcomes in the Houston Texans. Both games kickoff at 1 p.m.

The NASCAR Cup series playoffs begin tomorrow in Atlanta.
