Mr. George A. Spicer, age 60, of Holton, Indiana, entered this life on December 29, 1963 in Seymour, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Donnie Faye Mays Spicer. He was raised in the Commiskey community and graduated in 1983 from Madison Consolidated High School. He worked early in life at the Hill Rom and then at Muscatatuck Development Center. He then worked for NTN in Walesboro, Indiana. He was currently working part-time for the Holton Food Mart in Holton where he will be dearly missed. He was the loving partner of Steven Westerfeld and they had enjoyed their life together. George loved the outdoors, riding horses, cooking, socializing, gardening, and being with his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He held membership in the AmVets Post No. 7 in North Vernon and the Madison Moose Lodge No. 765. George died on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 9:52 am at the Norton King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

George will be missed by his loving partner, Steven Westerfeld of Holton, Indiana; his loving sister, Helen Spicer Bruce and her husband, Mark of Commiskey, Indiana; his nieces, Tia Sizmore (Cody Sauley), Kelcey Gilbert (Adam); his great nieces and great nephews, Coen, Porter, Adley, and Kelson; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donnie Faye Mays Spicer, who died on March 28, 2011.
