Bulldogs Cross Country Traveled to Rising Sun for a 4-Way Meet

The Bulldogs traveled to Rising Sun to compete in a 4-way meet against the Shiners, the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles, and the Milan Indians on Thursday, September 5.  The teams faced the most challenging conditions of the year thus far, battling the heat and a hilly course.  This did not deter the dogs from dominating and coming away with wins by both the boys’ and girls’ teams.

Ava Wade was the meet champ on the girls’ side and she was followed closely by Elia Wade in 2nd, Ana Shane in 3rd, Emmalynn Allgeier 4th, Aubrey Weberding in 7th, Sydney Britton in 8th, and Bailey Feldmann in 9th place for the varsity team.  Girls JV team members also earned ribbons by placing in the top 20 were Audrey Dieckmann in 10th place, Alyssa Cummings in 13th, Annabel Eckstein in 16th, Myka Perry in 17th, and Addie Cummings in 20th.  The girls had a team score of 16 while Rising Sun had 42.  Milan and Jac-Cen-Del did not have complete teams.
For the boys, Cael Luhman was the meet champ.  Wyatt Essick was next for the Bulldogs finishing 3rd overall, followed by Timothy Quillin in 5th place, Coleman West in 6th, Miles Lawrence in 8th, Duncan Fish 9th, and Lucas Gadberry in 10th to round out the varsity members.  Other Bulldogs placing in the top 20 and also earning ribbons were Gavin Linville in 11th place, Luke Raver in 12th, Salvador Schutte in 13, Nathaniel Fuentes 16th, Sam Patterson in 17th, Alex Kaiser in 18th, and Grayson Parcell in 19th.  The boys’ team bested Rising Sun by only scoring 23 points to their 31 points.  Milan and Jac-Cen-Del did not have complete teams.
