Lady Charger Cross Country Takes 3rd Place to Open the Season

The Lady Chargers opened the season on Thursday night at Greensburg in a 4 way meet with the host Pirates, visiting Batsville Bulldogs, and visiting South Decatur Cougars.  The Lady Chargers claimed 3rd place with a strong showing for their first meet of the season.

Leading the way for the Lady Chargers was Junior Dorothy Robbins with a 15th place finish and a time of 26:15.  Freshman Norah Amberger (26:59) and Junior Ava Lecher (28:17) followed Robbins across the line in 19th and 20th place.  A trio of Chargers led by freshman Jessie Bilts (29:25), Brooklyn White (29:46), and Junior Lauren Miller (29:51) finished in 22nd, 23rd and 24th place.  Emerson Gunn (30:25, Olivia Reisman (31:00), and Cecilian Barber (35:00) rounded out the times for the Chargers.

The Lady Chargers return to action on Saturday at the Small School Invite in Shelbyville at the Blue River Cross Country Course.
