BHS Makes Top 20 List of Best Indiana Public High Schools

(Batesville, IN) – Niche.com, which ranks the best public high schools throughout the country based on course offerings and other factors, has Batesville High School at #18 in Indiana.

“They are the smallest high school in the Top 20, and the reason I point that out is, typically, larger high schools have so many opportunities for students and we provide those same opportunities right here in Batesville, Indiana for our 700 high school students,” said Batesville Community Schools Superintendent Paul Ketcham.

Niche graded BHS at A-Plus for teachers, A for academics and A-Minus for administration.

“You can check this out on our Facebook page, you can read that, but I’m proud of our elementary schools, our middle school, our high school, which do just a fantastic job for our students,” Ketcham added.

Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics and Humanities came in first in the state, according to the Niche survey.

Other area schools making the list were East Central at #48; North Decatur, 149; Milan, 155, and South Ripley, 190.

Rankings stop at 191.
