The Chargers travelled to Franklin County on Tuesday for a regular season game. The Chargers were held scoreless, final score 38-0. (Full game summary is below)
1st Quarter – The North Decatur Chargers faced a tough start as the Franklin County Wildcats quickly took control, putting the Chargers down 16-0 by the end of the first quarter.
2nd Quarter – In the second quarter, the Chargers fought to get back into the game, but the Wildcats extended their lead to 30-0 by halftime. North Decatur struggled to generate offense and contain Franklin County.
3rd Quarter – After halftime, the Chargers showed some defensive improvement, managing to hold the Wildcats scoreless for much of the third quarter. However, the offense couldn’t capitalize, leaving the score at 30-0.
4th Quarter – In the final quarter, the Wildcats added another touchdown, sealing their 38-0 victory. The Chargers continued to compete until the end, but they were unable to close the gap. Despite the loss, North Decatur showed resilience and determination that will serve them well moving forward.
Despite the loss, the Chargers will look to bounce back in a positive way in their next matchup on Saturday, August 17, when they play host to Trinity Lutheran. Kickoff at 10 a.m. Following that weekend matchup, they will face off against Batesville at home on Thursday, August 29th, at 6 p.m., before travelling across town to face South Decatur on Tuesday, September 3, at 5:30 p.m.
