Barbara Jean Chapman, 81, of Versailles, IN, formerly of Moores Hill, IN. passed away Friday, August 2, 2024.
She was born October 27, 1942, in Lawrenceburg, IN, daughter of the late James Ranshaw and Bertha (Cochran) Ranshaw.
Barbara attended the Assembly of God in Madison. She loved the Lord and her faith was very important to her. In later years, Barbara enjoyed crochet, and working puzzles, but she always loved riding motorcycles, taking long trips, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Very most of all, she enjoyed serving the Lord.
Barbara is survived by her children, Jean and Larry Tanksly of Versailles, IN, Ray and Missy Chapman of Aurora, IN, C.R. and Veronica Chapman of Milan, IN, Jackie and Dawn Chapman of Milan, IN; grandchildren, Thresa and Joey Huff, Tim Reed, Joshua, Mari, Jessica, Emil, Eric, Michael, Markus, Victoria, Hannah and Josh, Austin and Shyla, Autumn, Casey, Evan, Lauren, Bill, and Payton; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Kortney and Logan, Joseph, Kaitlyn, Samantha, Clark, Arya, Nikolay, Danielle, Gracii, Cameron, Casen Ray, and Tyson Lee; great, great-grandchildren, Trenten and Colton; siblings, Janet and Jesse James Cole, Betty Ranshaw, Danny Chapman and Gary Chapman; her beloved friend, Linda Mattox; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that love her as she loved them.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Chapman; parents, James and Bertha Ranshaw; siblings, James, Marshall, and George Ranshaw, Mary Webb; grandson, Ryan Chapman; and granddaughter, Amanda Reed.
Friends will be received Monday, August 12, 2024, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, at 1:00 pm.
Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Moores Hill, IN.
