A traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon led to drug-related charges against an Indianapolis man.
ISP Trooper Randel Miller was patrolling I-74 in Dearborn County around 4:45 p.m. when he stopped a Chrysler 300 near mile marker 160 eastbound for a minor traffic violation.
The officer became suspicious of the driver, 41-year-old Verlando U. Wolfork, of Indianapolis and had a K-9 walk around the car.
According to police, the K-9 alerted on the vehicle and a subsequent search revealed marijuana and cocaine along with paraphernalia.
Wolfork was taken to the Dearborn County Jail where is charged with Possession of Cocaine- Over Three Grams ( Class C Felony), Possession of Marijuana- Less than 30 grams ( Class A Misdemeanor), and Possession of Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor).
