The town of Versailles has received a Community Crossings Matching Grant for local projects.
$275,199 was given to the town and those funds will go towards local road repavement. Dave O’ Mara Contractor Inc. will be in charge of the road work. Fern Drive from Tanglewood Road to dead end, Floyd Avenue from Fern Drive to dead end and Tanglewood Road from Colvin Drive to South High Street are all set to be repaved. Also listed by the town is Water Street from High Street to Adams Street and 2nd North Street from Adams Street to Washington Street.
Exact dates for the road work will be announced closer to the start date.
In addition to this grant announcement, the town of Versailles has also announced that a special meeting will be held at Town Hall on Tuesday, August 6 at 6 p.m.
. This will be for the town and residents to discuss a rezoning request at 314 North Adams Street.
