Mary Ann Graue was born in Greensburg, IN on November 18, 1949. Delivered by her grandfather Dr. E.A. Porter to her parents Charles Ross and Gene Stratton (Porter) Faulkner at the Greensburg Hospital.
Mary Ann, the fourth child of Charles and Gene, spent her life in Westport marrying her high school sweetheart, Terry, and raising her two sons Gabriel David and Joshua Patrick on Elizabeth Street.
Mary Ann’s life was decorated with beautiful flowers, lovely antique pottery, and grounded with the deep roots of the Porter/Faulkner family. She shared her love of gardening by creating breathtaking hanging baskets filled with impatiens and making sure loved ones lost were remembered each holiday with beautiful wreaths.
If you were lucky enough to sit at Mary Ann’s table, her talents and character were on full display with traditional meals passed down through the generations and stories that elicited laughter until tears flowed. No one makes Grandmother Porter’s noodles like Mary Ann and few match her wit and humor.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 55 years, Terry, her sons Gabriel Graue and Joshua (Kerry) Graue, grandchildren Patrick (Sarah) Graue, Olivia Graue, and Charles Graue, great-grandson Jayden Graue and soon a second great-grandchild. Mary Ann is also survived by her siblings David Ross Faulkner, Nancy Gilliland, Cynthia (Stephen) Goddard, and Rebecca (Bob) Barker, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Gene (Porter) Faulkner, brother Charles (Ned) Faulkner, and nephews Charles E. Gilliland II and John S. Goddard.
