(Osgood, IN) – Sophia Sullivan was crowned Miss Ripley County 2024 at Sunday night’s pageant at the Damm Theater in Osgood.
Sullivan, who was 1st runner-up last year, said winning the title did not seem real, at first.
“Just a whirlwind of emotions,” she said. “I cannot thank everyone enough for their amazing support, and this program has been so amazing. It uplifts all of these wonderful women so much and I can’t thank everyone enough.”
Sullivan also won the Formal Wear Award.
Leanne Ludwig was named 1st runner-up; 2nd runner-up is Deborah Murphy; Jadyn Harrington won 3rd runner-up; the 4th runner-up is Hailey Kunz, and Chloe Hunter was named Miss Congeniality.
Kinsey Rohls won both the Evening Wear and People’s Choice Award. The latter is by a vote of pageant attendees who put money in their favorite contestant’s jar.
A total of $1,409 was raised to benefit uncovered needs of foster families in Ripley County.
And Ludwig received the Kindness Award, which is given by the pageant committee after observing the contestants over the last month’s pageant activities.
