Faye Harsh, age 80 of Brookville

Faye Irene Harsh, of Brookville, was born on June 14, 1944, in Batesville, a daughter to George and Alma Anna Wolber Bauer.  She graduated from Brookville High School in 1962 and then married Phillip “Phil” Charles Harsh on December 21, 1963, at St. Thomas Lutheran Church.  Faye worked for the City of Oxford in accounts receivable as the billing supervisor and retired after 24 ½ years of service.  She was a member of the Brookville Women’s Club and enjoyed knitting, reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  On Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the age of 80, she passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Those surviving who will cherish Faye’s memory include her husband of 60 years, Phil Harsh; daughters, Holly Murray and Heidi (Roger) Reuss; grandchildren, Candice (Robert) Kercheval, Wyatt (Morgan) Murray, Katrina (fiancé, Joel Alexander) Murray, and Reggie Reuss, and great-grandchildren, Luke and Nevaeh.  One sister, Joyce (Ivan) Bruns also survives.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Almeda Baudendistel, and brothers-in-law, Dale and Gene Baudendistel.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations can be directed to the American Cancer Society or to the Franklin County Community Foundation FCHS-Band.
