(Southeastern IN) – The latest U.S Drought Monitor map indicates most of Southeastern Indiana is under a moderate drought (pictured).
Just about all of Ripley, Decatur, Franklin and Dearborn counties are considered to be experiencing a drought.
Overall, 16 percent of Indiana is dealing with a moderate drought, while 81 percent of the state is abnormally dry.
Last week, 74 percent of Indiana was abnormally dry, and no portion of the state was considered to be under drought conditions.
