(Rising Sun, IN) – The Rising Sun Regional Foundation awarded $53,000 in scholarships to this year’s graduating high school seniors who live in Ohio and Ripley counties and the cities of Aurora and Batesville, which is the Foundation’s Southeastern Indiana grantmaking region.
Graduating seniors who maintained a six-semester grade point average of 2.75 or higher and plan to attend a post-secondary educational institution were eligible to apply for these scholarship awards.
Recipients were drawn at random from the pool of eligible applicants were submitted to the Rising Sun Regional Foundation along with official transcripts.
The late Carson Hughes from Jac-Cen-Del High School was a recipient, so $1,000 will be donated to the Carson Hughes Foundation in his memory.
