(Clark County, IN) – Special Prosecutor Ric Hertel of Ripley County has filed six more charges against former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel – which adds to an already long list.
Noel has been in jail for the past two months after he was found in contempt of court for possessing guns after a judge told him to give up the weapons.
He’s is already facing several charges related to fraud and money laundering stemming from his time as sheriff.
Noel now facing 31 total counts.
The latest charges filed by Hertel include five counts of theft and one count of money laundering.
Noel is accused of stealing agency money to pay for vacations and various items, following an Indiana State Police investigation.
His wife, Misty, and their daughter, Kasey, have also been charged in the case.
All three have pleaded not guilty.
