(Greensburg, IN) – The City of Greensburg is gearing up for another season of Public Safety Community Cookouts.
This year’s first cookout will take place on June 13 from 6-8 p.m. in the Westridge Addition, on the grassy area along North Wedgewood Avenue between Tarkington Drive and Rebecca Parkway.
The event will feature free food, music, emergency vehicle displays, games and more.
The Public Safety Community Cookout series was launched in 2021, and runs through the summer months in neighborhoods across the Tree City.
Officials say it’s a great way to meet first responders, check out emergency vehicles, receive valuable safety information and build stronger community ties.
This year’s other scheduled Public Safety Community Cookouts are:
- July 13 – Decatur County Fair
- August 8 – National Night Out
- September 20 and 21 – Tree City Fall Festival
- October 10 – Scoby Street
The free events are put on by the City of Greensburg and its police and fire departments.
