(Delaware Township/Ripley County, IN) – All proceeds from this Friday’s Delaware Community Volunteer Fire Department Fish Fry will benefit the Carson Hughes Memorial Fund.
Hughes is the 18-year-old from Osgood who went missing last Friday; his body was found in the lake at Versailles State Park Sunday evening.
The fish fry takes place from 4-8 p.m. tomorrow at the firehouse on State Road 129.
The cost is $15 per person, dine-in or carryout
The menu includes fish or chicken strips service with mac and cheese, fries, cole slaw, dessert and a drink.
The department usually hosts fish fries to raise funds to maintain equipment and keep up with firehouse projects, and has received a lot of support from the community recently.
As a way of paying it forward, the department will donate proceeds from the event in Carson Hughes’ memory.
