John Henson, 67

John Henson, 67, of Greensburg passed away March 19, 2024 he was born on March 26, 1956 in Harrison, Ohio the son of Luther and Virgie (Jones) Henson. He was a 1976 graduate of East Central High School. John currently worked at Valeo and previously worked at Houck Industries, Elco Textron, and he also was a mason worker. On June 25, 1994, he married Cynthia (Woodworth) Henson in Penntown, Indiana. John was very adventurous and enjoyed any outdoor activity: hunting, camping, fishing, grilling, hiking and amusement parks. He loved spend time with his family, to play games and to watch old western movies.
Survivors include his Daughter, Kelly (Chester) King; Sons, Paul (Barbara Davis) Vanderpool and Daniel Vanderpool, Jr.; Grandchildren, Kristen, Kaylee and Kimber; Brothers, Dan Henson, Ronald (Kristina) Henson, Eddie (Kathy) Henson, Estil (Rose) Henson; Sister in Law, Rita Henson. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, and Sisters, Edna Kaiser and Norma Jean Bovard; and Brothers, Cecil Henson and Hargis Henson.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral at 1:00 pm. Rev. Todd Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Rossburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Greensburg/ Decatur County Animal Shelter.
