Batesville Archers Ranked First Heading Into State Competition

(Batesville, IN) – Seventy-two Batesville Community School students making up five teams from the intermediate, middle and high schools have qualified and will compete at the Indiana State competition for the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP).

The event will take place on March 9 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

A senior night and state team recognition will be held in the Batesville High School activity center Friday, March 1 at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

This is Batesville’s seventh year participating in the NASP, and its student archers have qualified for state competition each year.

The Batesville teams enter the state competition seeded first in Indiana at all three levels – elementary, middle and high school.

The team’s last home competition will take place on Saturday, March 2.

The archers will host the Ripley County Tournament on March 30 at Batesville High School.
