(Aurora, IN) – A woman who briefly worked as a substitute teacher has been arrested and charged after she allegedly sent nude photos to an 8th grade student at South Dearborn Middle School.
22-year-old Cassidy Carter of Aurora is charged with Child Solicitation (Level 5 felony).
Court documents indicate a school resource officer informed the South Dearborn Middle School principal on December 1, 2023 that the then-21-year-old Carter sent nude photos to a student.
The 14-year-old boy said he and Carter became friends on Snapchat around the beginning of November, according to court documents.
Investigators say they found numerous message threads – allegedly containing nudity – between Carter and the student during a forensic analysis of her phone.
Carter worked for South Dearborn Schools from September 7, 2023 to November 16, 2023.
She is free on bond, and is scheduled to stand trial in Dearborn Circuit Court in May.
