Paul D. Korb, 93, of Milan passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Paul was born on Saturday, April 19, 1930, in Cincinnati; son of Henry and Alma (Deye) Korb. Paul married the love of his life, Shirley (Engel) Korb, on May 14, 1955, and she preceded him on December 7, 2019. Paul proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Miami Township Fire Department for 20+ years and was a past assistant fire chief. He enjoyed working outside, spending time on the farm, and telling stories. Paul most of all cherished spending time with his loving family and friends.
Paul will be missed by his sons Steven (Mary) Korb of Richmond, Virginia, and Tom (Lynne) Korb of Cincinnati; daughter Nancy Griffiths of New Richmond, Ohio; grandchildren Amanda and Gregory Korb, Andrew and Elizabeth Korb, Jeffrey and Claire Griffiths, Shannon (Marcus) Hughes, and Shane Clark; and 3 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Korb; son-in-law Bill Griffiths; grandson Seth Hentman; and brothers Robert Deye and Henry “Hank” Korb.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Paul from 9:30-10:30 AM Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church with Father Shaun Whittington officiating. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery; 9744 Valley Junction Road
Cleves, Ohio 45002. Military rites will take place at the cemetery provided by Milan American Legion Post #235. Memorials may be given in honor of Paul to the Milan Volunteer Fire Department.
