(Statehouse) – The Indiana Senate has passed a bill that would legalize Happy Hour in the Hoosier State.
If signed into law, House Bill 1086 would lift the nearly 40-year-old ban on drink specials for bars and restaurants.
It would allow establishments to serve alcoholic beverages at reduced prices during designated hours.
Happy Hour discount drink specials have been illegal in Indiana since 1985.
That’s when the ban went into effect in an effort to crack down on drunk driving incidents.
The measure now moves to the governor’s desk for final consideration.
