The Batesville Middle School Wrestling team competed in a multi-team dual tournament at Jennings County on Saturday. The Bulldogs went 4-1 on the day as a team. Wrestlers who went undefeated on the day included Paul Brewer, Carson Weiler, Chucky Kline, Huston Cook, and Mason Dance. Wrestlers who won four matches included Parker Smith, Isaac Enneking, Ajon Herbert, Bronson Winsted, and Edwin Hernandez. Wrestlers of the Day honors are shared by Huston Cook, who wrestled up a weight class all day but still went undefeated; Mason Dance, who bounced back from a defeat last week to go undefeated on Saturday; Carson Weiler, who pinned all his opponents in dominant fashion; Chucky Kline, who went undefeated for the first time in his career; Wes Meyer, who wrestled great in the exhibition rounds; and Parker Smith, who wrestled strong on his birthday! Great job to these and all the Bulldog wrestlers! The Bulldogs are back on the mat Tuesday when they travel to Union County and are home Thursday against South Dearborn where the team will honor the five BHS Wrestlers who will be competing in Semi-State this Saturday.
