The Batesville Bulldogs took on EIAC opponent East Central on Tuesday Jan 16 in dual meet action at the EC Natatorium and fell to the aqua-trojans. Emi Lopez brought home the only first-place finish for the Bulldogs in the 50 freestyle.
While the Bulldogs swam well individually they couldn’t match the strength of their opponents.
“As a team, we combined for 13 PR’s 8-second place and 10 third place finishes,” said Coach McMullen, “but our bench just isn’t as deep.”
At Milan on Thursday, the Lady Bulldogs came away with an overall victory in the 4-way meet (5-way for the men) as they outpaced Milan, Southwestern, and Lawrenceburg.
In dual meet action the teams held the following records:
Men: 5 Wins, 9 Losses
Women: 10 wins, 5 losses, 1 tie
