Batesville 7th Grade Boys Basketball Falls to Greendale

The 7th grade Batesville Boys Middle School basketball team traveled to Jac-Cen-Del to play Greendale Middle School for the Championship. The Bulldogs gave it all they could and would wind up on the losing end 31-40. The Bulldogs came out ready to play as they led the first quarter by a score of 7-6. Greendale fought their way back and would take the lead at halftime by 2 14-16. The Bulldogs wouldn’t give up that easily and would close out the third quarter by only trailing by one. Bulldogs would keep it close until about 3 minutes left in the game when the Tigers would able to create a 4-point lead and eventually go on to win by 9. The gym was loud all night and the 7th grade left everything on the court. Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Lane Highman with 8, Hank Bohman with 6, Isaiah Martin with 5, Beckett Jones with 4, Evan Ibold with 3, RJ Schuerman with 3, and Jax Negovetich with 2. The Bulldogs finish the season as runners-up in the SEI Tournament, champs in the South Ripley Tournament, and a record of 16-3.
