(Greensburg, IN) – RWE Clean Energy hosted an information session Thursday evening at the Greensburg Community Education Center on a solar farm the Chicago-based company wants to build north of Greensburg.
Decatur County Commissioner Jeremy Pasel attended, and says RWE posted information around the auditorium, but did not conduct a Q and A session or presentation.
“But they did have some boards with information and illustrations of what the solar panels would look like and how they could also help with the visuals around the roads and around the solar panels so that maybe people wouldn’t see the panels as much as what you would if they didn’t have trees or hill berms built up around the panels,” Pasel said.
He added a lot of people showed up Thursday night.
“This is, of course, one of those topics that people in a community like Decatur County are really going to be concerned about, and they really want all of the information,” Pasel said. “It was good to see the number of people show up that were there.”
Pasel says this could have a fundamental impact on the community, and urged Decatur County residents to contact him with any questions or concerns.
