Edmond L. “Ed” Brunner, 88, of Lawrenceburg passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at his home. Ed was born on Thursday, November 28, 1935 in Lawrenceburg; son of Louis and Anna (Scroggins) Brunner. Ed married the love of his life, Betty Jane (Peters) Brunner, on June 15, 1956, and she preceded him on January 9, 2010. Ed worked at Alton Box as a factory worker and also worked as a painter. He was a member of the Aurora First United Methodist Church. Ed enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working outdoors.
Ed will be missed by his sister Ruby Roush of Casselberry, Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jane Brunner; brother William Brunner and Louis Brunner Jr.; and sisters Ruth Loos, Evelyn Radenheimer, Rosella Elliot, and Anna Tschaen.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Ed from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at the Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. A service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Ryan Goode officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Ed to Aurora First United Methodist Church.
