Janet Louise Oelker, 83, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023.
She was born July 2, 1940, in Lawrenceburg, IN, daughter of the late Clarence A. Oelker and Amelia (Cramer) Oelker.
Janet was a Life Member of St. John Lutheran Church, Lawrenceburg, Indiana, she was a faithful member of the church, rarely missing a Sunday service. She enjoyed passing out bulletins, and being a greeter for several years. Janice was known to greet everyone with a big smile, and a big “Hello.” She was a client at New Horizons from 1972 until 2011. She enjoyed coloring pictures, doing puzzles, collecting newspaper clippings, and being with her many friends, and family.
Janet is survived by her brother, Robert (Marjorie) Oelker of Louisville, KY, previously Lawrenceburg, Indiana; sister, Dorothy Lattire of Aurora, IN; and several nieces, and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence A. and Amelia Oelker.
Friends will be received Friday, December 8, 2023, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the St. John Lutheran Lawrenceburg, 4937 IN-48, Lawrenceburg, IN.
Services will be held at the church at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow in the St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, IN.
