The 60th anniversary of the Milan “Miracle” will be celebrated at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Monday March 10.
The event will honor the 1954 Milan High School basketball players and supporting team with festivities including a reception at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:00 p.m.
Master of Ceremonies will be Pacers broadcaster Mark Boyle. Guests will hear from some of the ’54 Legends; and the keynote address will be delivered by Angelo Pizzo, writer and producer of the movie “Hoosiers.”
Other cast members attending will be Hickory Huskers’ “Jimmy Chitwood” Maris Valainis and “Buddy” Brad Long.
Attendees will have the opportunity to mingle and dine with the Milan ’54 Legends and others. A silent auction will also be held, featuring a large assortment of autographed memorabilia and photographs.
Seating is limited and tickets are $100 per person; special table sponsorships are also available.
