John B. “Jack” Kixmiller, 92

John B. “Jack” Kixmiller, 92, of Greensburg passed away on August 2, 2023. He was born on June 17, 1931, in Vincennes, Indiana and was the son of the late Elmer and Alta Morgan Kixmiller.
Jack graduated from Greensburg High School, the Class of 1949, then he enlisted into the United States Air Force to serve during the Korean War. He married Margie Pohlman and she preceded him in death in 1979. He then married Elizabeth A. Johnston on January 22, 1992. Jack was a member of the United Church of Christ, Elks Club 50+, the South Park Cemetery Board, and sat on the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department Merit Board. In 1975, he retired as a Detective Sergeant, from the Indiana State Police Department, he was stationed at the Versailles and Seymour Posts.
Survivors include: Wife, Elizabeth Kixmiller; Stepson, Jo (Christine) Johnston; Grandchildren, Sarah (Caleb Mankey) Johnston, Elizabeth (Matt Miller) Berggren and Stephen (Kristy) Berggren; Great Grandchildren, Adrianna Norlock, Teagyn Berggren and Lilliana Stroud. He was preceded in death by his Parents and First Wife, Margie Pohlman Kixmiller.
A graveside service with United States Air Force Funeral Honors for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 10:00 am at the South Park Cemetery, 405 S.
