(Statehouse) – Alex Zimmerman will be sworn in as the new State Representative for House District 67 next week.
Chief Justice Loretta Rush will administer the oath to the State Representative-elect Tuesday morning in the House chamber at the Statehouse.
The North Vernon attorney was elected at a Republican caucus in Versailles Monday night to replace former State Rep. Randy Frye, who resigned earlier this month citing health problems.
Zimmerman will serve out the remainder of Frye’s term, which runs through 2024.
House District 67 includes portions of Ripley, Decatur, Jennings, and Jefferson counties.
