(Southeastern IN) – It was a rough weekend when it came to the weather.
Strong to severe storms containing high winds and heavy rains hit several places, leaving behind downed trees and power lines – some of which were strung across roads.
There were also reports of flooded roadways around the area.
Utility crews worked much of the weekend to restore power to those affected by outages.
The storms hit late Friday into Saturday morning, with more Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
There were no injuries reported in the immediate area, however, three members of a family camping at Whitewater State Park in Union County were hurt Sunday when severe weather caused part of a tree to fall on them.
All three were treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
One of the casualties of the weather was the Indiana DNR fireworks show that was scheduled for Saturday night at Versailles State Park.
Organizers say because of the forecast and out of concern for spectator safety, they decided to postpone the show.
A makeup date had not been announced as of Monday morning.
