James “Jim” Allen Livers, age 69, of Osgood, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at his residence. Jim was born on December 30, 1953, in Tell City, Indiana. The son of the late Amos Livers and Ada (Hawkins) in Tell City, Indiana.
Jim was a carpenter by trade. There was nothing he couldn’t build. He and his crew built many homes in the area.
Anyone who knew Jim knew he was most comfortable riding his Harley and being with his friends and family. He was a (25 year) member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, a (25 year) member of The Sons of the American Legion, a (40 year) member of Harley of Cochran, and a longtime member of Indiana Abate Region 7.
He will be missed by his two sons; Jim Livers of Osgood, IN; and Brian Livers of Frankfort, IN; his stepson Thad (Carie) Rigdon of Milan, IN; brother Bob (Carol) Livers of Brookville, IN; sisters Sharon (Charlie) Kohlman of Napoleon, IN; Sheila (Cliff) King of St Peters, IN; and stepsister Melody Nicholson- Gault (Dennis Gault); several grandchildren and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Judy Livers, his parents, Amos Livers and Ada (Hawkins); stepfather Raymond Nicholson, brothers Joe and Gerald Livers, and stepson Mark Rigdon.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 3-5 pm with funeral services starting at 5 pm at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood, IN. Memorials can be made to the Harley of Cochran Scholarship Fund in the care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be placed at Nealsfuneralhome.net
