(Southeastern IN) – The Indiana Department of Environmental Management has declared an Air Quality Action Day until Midnight for Southeastern Indiana.
Fine particulate levels are expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Group range.
Active children and adults, and people with respiratory issues such as asthma should limit prolonged outdoor exposure.
In addition, low visibility is expected this morning due to a combination of fog across the region and smoke from the Canadian wildfires.
Visibility will be reduced below a mile in some places, especially near bodies of water and low-lying areas.
