Richard P. Lecher, 60, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 22, 2023. He was born to Joan and the late Paul Lecher on March 12, 1963, in Batesville, IN. Rick was the beloved husband of Carol Lecher (nee Kuntz) for 32 years; loving father of Luke and Bridget Lecher; cherished brother of Ken (Dorothy) and Randy (Christina) Lecher; many loved in-laws; and dear uncle of numerous loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Throughout his life, Rick diligently worked as an electrician, electrical inspector, and electrical plans examiner. He would often work 3-4 hours early in the morning and then head to his chemo treatments in Columbus. Rick even continued to work up until his passing, he was truly passionate about what he did. He was a handyman, often fixing and repairing items around his own home, of which he took pride in. Rick loved traveling, particularly visiting National Parks. He was an avid reader, enjoying all genres from History to Sci-Fi and beyond. Rick especially appreciated the Cincinnati Enquirer, where once his own piece was published after a missed delivery on Christmas Eve prompted a direct letter to the paper. He also devoted his life to his faith. Rick was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Parish and will be missed by its community. Above all, however, Rick enjoyed spending time with those he loved most – his family. He will be remembered fondly and missed tremendously by all who were lucky enough to know him.
Visitation in his honor will be held Friday, May 26th from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 5527 Cheviot Rd. (45247). Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 27th at 10:30 am at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 5222 North Bend Rd. (45247).
