(Statehouse) – State Sen. Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg – pictured second row, center) joined Gov. Eric Holcomb when he ceremonially signed House Enrolled Act 1007 into law at the Statehouse Monday.
Effective July 1, the law addresses findings reported in the 21st Century Energy Policy Development Task Force by creating a blueprint for Indiana’s energy industry to provide reliable energy to Hoosiers.
Specifically, HEA 1007 directs the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission to consider reliability, affordability, resiliency, stability, and environmental sustainability in its decision-making process.
