(Brookville, IN) – Experience Franklin County, Indiana, Inc (EFCII) and the Franklin County Convention, Recreation and Visitors Commission (FCCRVC) – also known as the Franklin County Welcome Center – have named Beverly Spurlin the new Executive Director.
Spurlin graduated from Connersville High School and attended Saint Mary of the Woods College.
She has been a Board Member and treasurer of both FCCRVC and EFCII since 2021 and will resign as treasurer and a board member for both organizations to become the Executive Director of those entities.
She and her husband Scott live in Franklin County.
The Spurlins recently sold The Loft of Metamora Bed & Breakfast and Of the Earth Café in Metamora to pursue other adventures but wanted to stay connected to Franklin County.
Spurlin brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding about tourism to this position and will assume the role of Executive Director on May 7.
Mikel Beck will remain on staff for training and then will officially leave the organization around May 19.
“Beverly is a great choice for this position. Her deep passion for promoting Franklin County will further advance the mission of the organization. Her knowledge as an innkeeper, restaurant owner, and shop owner will bring a new light to the tourism office. We are excited she will be the new Executive Director of the organizations,” Beck said.
The mission of FCCRVC and EFCII is to increase visitor spending and economic growth by developing, promoting, and marketing quality Franklin County travel experiences.
