On Wednesday, the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association presented 37 Crawley Scholarships to 18 boys basketball players, 14 girls basketball players, and
five student managers.
Among those awarded the $500 scholarship were East Central seniors Cole Wheat and Rhys Hofer.
Criteria for the Crawley Scholarship include achievement in basketball and academics, participation in extracurricular activities, and service to one’s school and community. Marion Crawley was a former four-time boys basketball state championship coach, winning two with Washington and two with Lafayette Jeff.
