North Decatur varsity softball earns 2nd straight 20-5 win over Morristown

North Decatur varsity softball weathered a 3-run first-inning scare by Morristown, to win 20-5 on Thursday.
The Chargers held just 5-4 lead as they readied to bat in the bottom of the 4th. The Chargers would go on to score 14 run in that inning to put the game away.

Swain was the winning pitcher for North Decatur. The southpaw went five innings, allowing five runs on nine hits, striking out six, and walking zero.

Nevaeh Cox took the loss for Morristown. She lasted two innings, allowing five hits and 14 runs while striking out one.

Whitaker, Scudder, Stier, Hostkoette, Ogden, and Jo Whitaker all had one hit to lead North Decatur.

Morristown totaled nine hits in the game. Cox, Kayla Bair, and Enterkin all collected multiple hits for the Yellow Jackets.
