Matthew “Matt” Hylton passed away at the age of 41 at his residence in Lawrenceburg on Friday, February 17, 2023. Matt was born on Sunday, November 22, 1981 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, son of Kenneth and Carol (Fassold) Hylton. Matt worked in the construction business. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Hubbells Church and Sons of American Legion Squadron Post #464 of St. Leon. Matt enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking, and barbecuing. He recently won a chili contest at the Lawrenceburg Event Center. His greatest passion was spending time with his family, especially his sons.
Matt will be greatly missed by his sons Quinten Hylton-Gowdy of Chicago, Illinois and Carson Hylton of Milroy, Indiana; parents Ken and Carol Hylton of Sunman, Indiana; brother Brent (Sara) Hylton of Sunman, Indiana; and sister Lisa (Herman) Dingey of Hillsboro, Ohio.
Matt was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Matt from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, February 24, 2023 at St. John Lutheran Hubbells Church, 12523 N. Dearborn Road Sunman, IN 47041. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM with Pastors Tom Frey and Rob Cooley officiating. Memorials may be given in honor of Matt to the family, St. John Lutheran Hubbells Church, or Voiture 612 (Nurses Training Scholarship).
