The St. Louis Girls 8th Grade Lady Cardinals got back to their winning ways Wednesday night with a 35-21 victory over St. Michaels.
The Lady Cardinals got out to a 10-6 1st quarter lead. The Lady Cardinals turned up the defensive pressure in the 2nd quarter to extend their lead to 21-10 at halftime. The 3rd quarter was a little sluggish on both ends, but a big three pointer at the buzzer by Gina Grote gave the Lady Cardinals the momentum back. SLS would use a quick 8-0 run to put the game away.
Aubrey Baker led the way with 11 points, and Belle Young, Olivia Leising, and Gina Grote each had 8 points.
