At the Richmond Wrestling Regional this past Saturday, the East Central Trojans took home the team title, scoring 134 team points.
East Central’s lone individual champion was Grayson Hylton in the 152-pound weight class.
Other semi-state qualifiers for the Trojans that were able to qualify for Semi-State were Tyler Stenger at 113, Blake Wolf at 126, Nyden Euson at 132, Dylan Lengerich at 145, Brayden Huber at 170, Brendin Kolter at 182, and Brayden Rouse at 195.
Franklin County had two individual champions, Cole Freese at 113 and Colin Troyer at 120.
Other Wildcat wrestlers that qualified for the Semi-State were Hayden Newell at 160, Breck Bohman at 170, and Lendon Sizemore at 220.
Milan’s Matthew Baylor won the regional title at 106.
The Indians had three other wrestlers qualify for next weekend’s semi-state that included Lucas Richards at 120, Kaleb Wilburn at 138, and Cameron Gilb at 160.
Batesville’s Max Amberger was able to qualify for the semi-state finishing second in the 285-pound weight class.
The Semi-State will take place Saturday at New Castle Fieldhouse.
