The Batesville boy’s 8th-grade basketball team hosted the Connersville Spartans Thursday night. The Bulldogs used a hot start to jump out to a 17 to 2 lead at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, they scored 9 points to give themselves a 26 to 8 halftime lead. The Bulldogs put the game away in the second half by scoring 18 points in the third quarter. This helped give them a victory by the final score of 45 to 26. The win gives the boys a season record of 17 wins and 3 losses. Scoring for the Bulldogs were Carson Hartley 9, Kamryn Holcomb8, Cole Abrams 6, Brayden Hughes 6, Caleb Laker 5, James Hughes 4, Isaac Weber 2, Rylan Yeager 2, Mathew Maher 2, and Preston Blessing 1. The Bulldogs will next be in action Monday, Dec. 16th as they travel to Greendale Middle School to participate in the SEI tournament.
