High-speed two-county chase leads to arrest, multiple charges

Dearborn/Ripley Counties, IN — A woman is facing a long list of charges following a high-speed chase last week that went through Ripley and Dearborn counties.

Jessica Alyse Moore was arrested on January 3 following the pursuit, which began on eastbound I-74 when an Indiana State Police trooper observed a vehicle traveling over 100 mph.

The trooper was trying to pull the vehicle over when the driver fled toward the Sunman/Milan exit.

Court documents say Moore reached speeds as high as 135 mph on the interstate and often weaved in and out of traffic.

The chase continued onto State Road 1 and east on North Dearborn Road, where it eventually ended with Moore’s arrest.

She was wanted on an active warrant out of Ohio and was charged with Resisting Law Enforcement, Possession of a Syringe, Obstruction of Justice (all Level 6 felonies), False Informing (Class B misdemeanor), Reckless Driving (Class C misdemeanor), and Possession of Cocaine (Level 5 felony).

Moore, who is from the Dayton, Ohio area, is being held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center.
