The Batesville boy’s 8th-grade basketball team hosted Rushville on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs came out hot in the first quarter with a 17-0 run. In the second quarter, the Dogs added another 11 points to head into halftime with a 28 to 10 lead. The Bulldogs scored 17 points in the second half while giving up 10. This gave the Bulldogs a 44 to 22 victory on the night and ran their season record to 16 wins and 3 losses. Leading the Bulldogs in scoring for the night were Carson Hartley 10, Kamryn Holcomb 7, James Hughes 6, Braydin Hughes 6, Jevan “Buckets” Smith 5, Mathew Maher 4, Isaac Weber 2, Rylan Yeager 2, and Cole Abrams 2. The Bulldogs will next be in action this Thursday as they host Connersville.
