Vincent J.P. Tucher – 96 of Osgood

Vincent J.P. Tucher, 96, of Osgood, passed away at 5:29 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the Vitas Inpatient Hospice Unit in Lake Wales, Florida. He was born December 17, 1926 in Indianapolis, the son of Joseph & Angeline (Morrione) Tucher. He was raised in Indianapolis, graduated from Cathedral High School in 1944 and moved to Jennings County area in 1965. Vincent retired from General Motors in 1994 after 30 years of service. He was a member of UAW #933, the Little Flower Catholic and the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Alice A. Stegman on June 27, 1959 at the Little Flower Catholic Church in Indianapolis. She survives, along with his daughters, Angeline (Ronald) Veerkamp of Greensburg and Scecina (Richard) Hellenburg of Florida; his three grandsons and his two great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Anthony, Donald and Francis Tucher; his sisters, Mary McDaniels, Teresa Long and Frances Sondman. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Calvary Cemetery Chapel, (435 West Troy Ave., Indianapolis), with Father Bob Gilday officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery (2446 South Meridian) in Indianapolis. Bass & Gasper Funeral has been entrusted with the arrangements.
