Decatur County Emergency Management Director Brad Speer reports county highway trucks were out the entire holiday weekend and the roads are quickly improving.
Speer says some roads require additional work and rising temperature should assist the process.
The forecast over the next few days is calling for much higher temperatures and rain with storms for New Year’s weekend and beyond.
Speer says as many as eight people were in the warming room at Decatur County Memorial Hospital over the weekend.
