Greensburg- The JV Lady Chargers defeated Switzerland County on Wednesday night 46-40. Despite the close final score, the game was in hand during the first half of play.
ND jumped out early on the JV Lady Pacers with 8 first quarter points from Kacie Ogden. North scored 16 in the period with strong defensively play, scoring off Pacer turnovers.
Sydney Rohls owned the second quarter with 13 points to help extend the lead while Jo Whitaker chipped in three of her own. It was 32-7 at the break.
Some foul trouble and lackluster defense got Switzerland County back into the game in the second half. Ally Whitaker knocked in her pair of free throws, while sister Jo added 5 to her total as well. Libby Crawford put in a basket and finished the old fashioned three point play as well.
Things became closer down the stretch as the Pacers scored 19 points in the 4th quarter, but the Lady Chargers did just enough to finish them off, 46-40
