Osgood, IN — Jac-Cen-Del School Board President Jason Smith gave an update this week on the search for a new superintendent.
Smith says the initial field of candidates was narrowed down to five who were interviewed by the school board.
The field was then whittled down to two candidates, who were called back for second interviews and meet-and-greet sessions with central office staff and administrators.
The next step is to negotiate and reach an agreement with the new superintendent who will start their duties no later than January 1, 2023.
Former Superintendent Ryan Middleton resigned in July; high school principal Fred Unsicker has been serving as interim superintendent since then.
