Versailles, IN — Two new Indiana State Police troopers assigned to the Versailles Post have begun solo patrols.
Brian Weigel and Payton Utterback received their first assigned police cruisers this week.
Both men are graduates of the 82nd ISP Recruit Academy.
Weigel is a St. Leon native who graduated from East Central High School in 2012 and is the son of ISP Sgt. Steve Weigel, who is also assigned to the Versailles Post.
Brian Weigel will patrol Ripley and Dearborn counties.
He previously served nearly five years as a deputy with the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office.
Utterback is a Franklin native and has been assigned to patrol Jackson and Bartholomew counties.
